Title: California Tribal and State Justice Summit

Description:

The California Tribal and State Justice Summit brought together tribal and state law enforcement to explore strategies for providing more effective law enforcement in California's Indian country. Topics included the history of California tribes; federal laws impacting tribal criminal jurisdiction; tribal, state, and federal cooperative law enforcement; tribal trespass and eviction; and working models of collaboration in California. The event was sposnore by the California Attorney General’s Office, California State Sheriffs' Association and the California Tribal Police Chiefs Association and was held on November 18-19, 2013 in San Diego County.
